Bisque refers to any pottery that has been fired in a kiln without a ceramic glaze. This can be a final product such as bisque porcelain or unglazed earthenware, or an intermediate stage in a glazed final product.


A furnace or oven for burning, baking, or drying, especially one for firing pottery. Kilns are the necessary component required to turn clay mud from Bone Dry to Hard as a Rock after firing at temps of over 2,200*F.
